Time To Think Of Community Garening

I know with the high of 40 degrees it seems like spring will never come. Good news is, it always does. Love Community Garden is changing this year with raised beds and fresh screened composted topsoil. That being possible by a Healthy Neighborhood Grant via the Muskegon County Health Department. What a GREAT addition for us.

We also have a few new gardeners and will have 50% more space. Sadly we have no openings for 2009 but do have a sign up waiting list for next year. There is another community garden going in on Muskegon Ave, by the Shell gas station so if you want to email me I will forward your name on to the other garden's leaders.

For more info on other garden or to sign up for Love Community for 2010 contact us.

Are there any other gardens in where we live instead of on muskegon? That's a walk for me all the way from southern. I'll email you, let me know.

There are several community gardens and great partners in this county. The McLaughlin Neighborhood has several gardens that have space. The one at Public Health Muskegon County is in the beginning of assigning plots. Call them at 231-724-6350. They'll contact the plot manager for you to get set up.
